| History of the Vehicle |
Team "Futura" started racing from 1996. It participated in 1996 WSC in which could not manage to finish. The lesson that the team learned at this race turned the team to built a new car with better characteristics. In 1998 began the construction of the new car. In 1999 "Futura participated at FIA Elektro Solar Dream Cup at Suzuka circuit in Japan. After some months the team went to Australia to run the 1999 WSC. After this great race, with some work on FUTURA2's electronic system the team took part in July 2001 at American Solar Challenge from Chicago to Los Angeles.
It's opinion of many people that it is a great success for a little private Team like Futura, with only 6 members that are designers, builders, drivers, P.R.-makers and sometimes sponsors.
