Eligible Vehicles

Eligible vehicles will be those powered by energy produced by solar cells (S) according to the technical rules. A second category (SE) is accepted for cars using mixed energy from solar panels and grid, or from solar panels and other renewable energy sources on indirect mode. Entrants can be private or corporate entities.

Vehicles of Category I Solar-powered vehicles, according to the FIA Technical Regulations.

  • Class 2: Vehicles with a weight of over 150 kg and up to 300 kg

Note: Prototype Vehicles (single seaters) which, through a traction battery, obtain their power directly from on-board solar generator and which have at least 3 wheels and a weight up to 300 kg. The output power of the solar generator is free but the total surface area of all solar arrays must not exceed 8 sq.m.

Vehicles of Category II, III and III A

Solar and/or electrically powered converted, modified, prototype and series production vehicles, according to FIA Technical Regulations.
