Post Malone tears around a race track in the high-speed preview video for his new single, “Motley Crew,” which officially drops Friday, July 9. The clip opens with Posty driving a custom black and yellow Rolls Royce racer, sprinting past the other cars on the empty NASCAR track. Cut to the rapper with his jumpsuit arms tied around his waist wandering the infield with a smoke and hanging with his giant crew of friends in the pit row.

“I’m with the fast and the furious/ We’re in the club, I’m tearing it up/ I got the commas, full stop/ Covered in ice, Siberia/ I’m on top of the pyramid/ Damn I’m a star, I am Sirius,” Post raps over the icy beat of the Cole Bennett-directed clip. “We get to serious play / We came with the gang, myriad / We came with the gang, myriad / We came with the gang motley crew.”

Bennett had a bit of fun in the comments to the clip, writing “Wow you’re so good at driving a car”, while rapper Tyla Yaweh – who also appears in the visual – posted a photo from the set in which he hangs out with Malone; Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, and French Montana also make quick appearances in the preview.

The new track is Malone’s first fresh music since the release of his The Hollywood Bleed album in 2019. In a short clip uploaded by his manager, Dre London, earlier this week, Malone is doused in champagne on a winner’s podium after what looks like a stock car race, with the rapper dressed in that same yellow racing suit the women in black dresses dance to and various men shake bottles of sparkling wine and spray them into the air amid plumes of fireworks.

The song’s title, apparently inspired by iconic metal band Mötley Crüe, featured Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, who posted a photo of himself on the set of the video on Sunday with Malone and two unidentified women; Lee also makes an appearance at the end of the video preview, rushing towards the camera and shaking his mouth open in celebration.
